Family Enhancement Program

This strength-based, holistic approach to working with families provides the opportunity for individuals to develop skills and resources, to define their roles and to contribute to their own healing and that of their family. The “One family, one plan, one team” approach is designed to provide a continuum of coordinated services for families that will keep children safe and protected from abuse and neglect . These auxiliary services are the “front end” preventative approaches which pick up when families are not in crisis and children are not at high risk of harm.

  • Family Service Teams – provide intensive and culturally relevant services that support families to prevent further child protection issues from developing and escalating.

  • Family Resource Centres – ensure accessible, wrap around services to families delivered through supportive prevention and intervention focused group and individual programs and services.

  • Independent Youth Skills Development – provides referred youth with the opportunity to develop the personal resources and strengths necessary for them to function as independent adults.
